If you follow us on Instagram, you probably saw a few pictures from our hike in Sutton. It really is the winter hike by excellence! Enzo even got to spend time with his bff/girlfriend Ivy ❤
The hike to get to Lake Spruce is only one of the many hikes you can do at Parc d’environnement naturel de Sutton. It takes about 2 hours to complete. Spikes or snowshoes are highly recommended during winter. Personally we used spikes and it was perfect!
The trails are beautiful and easy to follow. They are not very large so I put Enzo in his canicross gear. That way he could walk (pull mostly) in front of me. It’s pretty fun to have a dog that pulls a lot when it’s time to go up the mountain. Hehe! Halfway through the hike we finally reached the lake and the view was incredible! The lake was frozen and the trees were full of snow. Another thing I love about this hike is that it’s a loop. That way you don’t have to turn around and see the same thing twice. After the lake we just keep walking and the trail brings us back to the entrance.
The access fees are 6,00$ for an adult, 4,50$ for a student and 3,00$ for kids from 6 to 17 years old. And it’s totally free for dogs! 😀 They must be kept on leash at all time.
